Purple Spots is a story about acceptance and loving people for who they are. In this story, every person is born with a purple spot over their heart. As long as we view those around us with kindness, the purple spots always remain. When our views of others are shaped by negativity, the purple spots fade and disappear, as does the rest of the color that decorates our lives. We are the same where it matters most, heart to heart. Our differences make the world a beautiful place. Without them, the world turns gray. 

In Purple Spots, the story focuses on the innocence of children; if we could learn to see the world again through the eyes of a child, perhaps the world would be a more kind, loving, and forgiving place. Hatred begins when learned prejudices creep into the minds of our youth, and unfortunately, those damaging thoughts and words float all around us.

I wrote Purple Spots to inspire compassion. We must learn to listen with open hearts, speak up when something is unjust, show patience towards that which we might not understand, and forgive even when it is hard to do so. We must stop deepening the manmade divisions and begin the healing process. To protect the sanctity of future generations, we must make a change now. We are responsible for what we say, we are responsible for what we do, and we are responsible for the mark we leave on this world—whether that be a small footprint in the life of a child, or a crater-sized milestone marked in history books. Make your mark a good one. Radiate kindness into the world, and watch your positive energy inspire those around you to do the same. When we stand together, love triumphs over hatred.

Now the Message in this Children's Book is more for the Adults (and that's a Good thing!)

Book Number 3 of the Spots Series should probably be required reading during any major election year. This book is about seeing the world through the eyes of a child originally where there is no prejudice, there is no hatred, and people come together to embrace what we have in common rather than dividing ourselves for our differences. This book also illustrates that a child can be highly influenced by their childhood experiences and surroundings. Words also have power to them, and most especially to a child. I feel people can often be shaped by childhood experiences and therefore we as parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, etc, need to be more careful in the words we use and our actions around children. Kudos to Nicoline for the powerful message of letting Love Win and the wonderful illustrations as usual by senyphine. It can be argued that this series gets better with every book.

Book about acceptance and love

Purple spots is a wonderful children's book explaining the importance of kindness and acceptance. It emphasizes how everyone's differences make the world a more beautiful place. Purple spots shows children how to have compassion and that words can hurt. It projects love and kindness with alluring illustrations of what happens when we lose our purple spots. My four year old loves this story and I adore it's message of kindness.

relevant and so important

Such a relevant time to read this story to our young readers. With so much negativity in our world, it sends the perfect message to spread kindness and accept others. I read this to my 4 year old and it sparked great conversations and he spent the rest of the night looking for his own purple spot. I would say this book is better suited for elementary aged children as some of the concepts were above my 4 year old but we both still enjoyed it. The illustrations are beautiful and it is a wonderful resource as a parent or teacher. Let love win!

Purple Spots was incredible

Beautifully written, beautifully illustrated.

I read Purple Spots to my son tonight and he loved it. He kept asking me questions about the topics brought up in the story, and it opened up a discussion after, that left him telling me how important it was to be kind, accepting and how we treat others with love.

I highly recommend this book to anyone with or without kids. Everyone should follow what this book teaches: Let love win
